Food safety is extremely important. Most critical illnesses and deaths from food borne illness affect the very young, the very old or those compromised by other illness (like diabetes). And, food borne illness is preventable!
Last year I participated in a video contest co-sponsored by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (then called the American Dietetic Association), and our video series co-starred “Chick”. “Chick” was a popular character among my friends and associates so please welcome her (?) to DiabetesEveryDay for Food Safety Month.
