She earned her B.S. degree in kinesiology (exercise physiology) from the University of Illinois, and her M.S. degree in human nutrition from University of Illinois at Chicago. Lindsey Singleton develops fabulous recipes for DiabetesEveryDay. Lindsey’s hometown is Phoenix, and she earned her B.S. degree in Nutrition from The University of Arizona in May 2010. In March, 2011 she completed a certificate program in Culinary Arts at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in Chicago. Joan Hammel co-hosts DiabetesEveryDay “radio”. Joan is an award winning professional vocalist who performs live, in commercials, on television, in films, and on radio. She has been nominated five times for Pop Entertainer of the Year by the Chicago Music Awards, and has hosted and produced live radio and webcast talk shows to critical acclaim. A. J. Skerbec co-hosts DiabetesEveryDay "radio". Tony is a former media chairman for a non-profit organization and co-hosted a daily talk show on a local radio station along with several regularly scheduled web-casts covering sports, entertainment, and community affairs.
Jeri Laureano advises DiabetesEveryDay on the emotional issues associated with diabetes and self-management. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and has a private counseling practice in the Chicago suburbs. Jeri has worked with diabetes patients in both private and group settings.
Paola Seguil is a correspondent for DiabetesEveryDay. She graduated from the Ohio State University with a B.S. in Nutrition, and is currently completing the M.S. Coordinated Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago to become a Registered Dietitian. Paola is a native of Peru, and moved to the U.S. with her family at the age of four.
